Inspection — 8/3/19 (OUTDATED, REPLACED WORN BRIDLE ON 8/20/20)
Found the bridle thimble has worn completely through to the rope. The bridle rope & sides of the thimble are still intact for now, but recommend replacing the bridle ASAP. For the new bridle, recommend using a stainless thimble to prevent galvanic corrosion with the stainless spar buoy pin - using a stainless thimble with the stainless spar pin will last much longer.
Found a non-stainless steel cotter pin had been used for one side of the spar buoy top pin. Removed the improper cotter pin & replaced it with a stainless steel pin.
Other than the worn bridle, this mooring is in very good shape.
